Highmark and Federal Blue Cross Blue Shield plans do not cover lactation consults, but an HSA or FSA may. I supply a receipt (superbill) for you to try and submit for reimbursement, but it is not a guarantee.
If you have an out of state BCBS plan, my policy is to collect a check at time of service as payment that I will hold onto and deposit ONLY if the claim is rejected or denied.
